BEAU by Talita Setyadi - Senopati, Jakarta. (Western Cuisine)

Hello, guys!

So for today, I'll review about another my lovely place at Senopati, Jakarta. The name is BEAU by Talita Setyadi. It's a cafe with minimalist - classic and natural decoration, with white color where domination the interior, this place so good to chit-chat, hangouts, and tea time.

They sell some breads and cakes, where they make it by French technique (what I so love it). What I love in BEAU by Talita Setyadi, all of the breads and cakes is FRESH. YES! FRESH! They bake today, they sell today. Don't ask about the taste, because I just have 1 word = PERFECTION.

Also, they sell their own product like jam or sweet snack. And of course, its fresh & delicious..

So, this is my review :

1. Salted Egg Croisant

Salted Egg Croisant (IDR 55.000,-)

I knew this dish when I watch it at Asian Food Channel (AFC) and I'm curious about it. And when I tasted it, itsn't disappointed me! Croissant is buttery and airy, the salted egg isn't too salty but have rich and legit taste. My mom like it too!

2. Smorrebrod - Gravad Laks

Smorrebrod - Gravad Laks (IDR 40.000,-)

For the look, it's so absolutely appetizing. For the bread, its little bit tough, and the texture is rough because they mix the dough with some seeds. If you don't like hard bread, I'm not recommended you to choose this dish. For the others, its combined it pretty good. The spread little bit sour, the smoked salmon have salty taste, the radish & beet bring a freshness of this food.

3. Croque Madame (non-halal)

Croque Madame (IDR 89.000,-)

If you want something satiate, for lunch or brunch, I recommend you to try this food. You can choose smoked beef (halal) or pork leg ham (non-halal). This food have a unique combination, with sourdough bread and grilled cheese on top, perfection with sunny side-up. The salad on side have fresh and sour taste from the balsamic vinaigrette, but for me is little bit dry, so if you want more dressing, you can ask the waiter to get more dressing.

4. Blackout Eclair

Blackout Eclair (IDR 45.000,-)

This is what confusing me at the first time. They used "kecap manis" or we called it soy sauce into this dish. I mean.. really? For the first time, I'm really curious about this dishes. With the black color, I'm push myself to try it. And the result : VERY GOOD! Not to sweet, light, airy texture, and have an unique taste. So yummy!

5. Astrid

Astrid (IDR 45.000,-)

This cake have everything what I love in cake : sour, sweet, creamy, salty, crunchy, cold. One word : PERFECTO!. No need to much explain it, you know how much this dish so yummy, from the look, it's so tempting. And what this cake more unique, they make candied rose petals for the garnish. The taste? Like roses, actually hahaha..

6. Super Strength

Super Strength (IDR 45.000,-)

For the chocolate lover but want not-too-sweet or heavy cake, you can choose this cake. This cake have deep, rich chocolate flavor with hint of sweet. So isn't too sweet but not too bitter. With mousse on top and dark brownies, you will satisfied with this cake.

7. Calming Chamomile

Calming Chamomile (IDR 35.000,-)

If you know, I'm a tea lover. At BEAU by Talita Setyadi, they sell tea from Lewis & Carroll. I choose Calming Chamomile because its light tea, so comfy to drink after heavy meal. And they can refill it twice, so I guarantee you will satisfied.

8. Lemon Iced Tea

Lemon Ice Tea (IDR 37.000,-)

This drink have a sour, refershing taste. You can control the sweetness because the waiter bring the simple syrup separate with the drink, so don't worry if the taste will so sweet.

9. Her Majesty

Her Majesty (IDR 35.000,-)

Another tea where I try at BEAU by Talita Setyadi is Her Majesty (Jasmine Green Tea), this tea have a great fragrance with little bit deep flavor. And they can refill it twice, so I guarantee you will satisfied.

10. Hot Cappuccino

If you coffee lover, you can try their Hot Cappuccino. With a good latte art and petite biscuit, you'll really enjoy this drink. For the taste, its have strong and deep flavor.
